Adam Ma³ysz is preparing for the Olympic season under the guidance of Hannu Lepistö in the Finnish town of Vuokatti. Experts call this town “the Finnish ski jumping lab”, and it is a very prized training facility, even though coaches usually opt for Ruka and Rovaniemi, which are located higher up North, and thus allow to switch to snow training earlier.
According to Lepistö, Malysz will be fighting for another Olympic medal in Vancouver. “Adam's experience is a good basis for success. His jumps show that the direction in which we're going is correct. Right now, Adam is only lacking some strength, and we're working on that, but we still have enough time.”
Lepistö says that the potential medal winners will show their faces in the course of the season. “Right now, it's all sheer speculation, but I suspect that we will have a clearer picture of the ski jumpers who will win medals just before the Olympics. I don't expect that there will be more than four or five potential winners. Adam will be among them.”
