The first press conference of the 2009-2010 winter ski jumping season featured statements from Matti Hautamäki, Michael Uhrmann and Andreas Kofler, who represented the three best teams of the first competition.
Matti Hautamäki: Janne is back on the team, and we feel like in the good old days. We really wanted to win here, in front of this particular public, but I consider a third place good in these conditions. The weather was changeable, but it was possible to go through with the competition anyway. As for my training, I'm satisfied with my summer preparations and I hope that I will jump well throughout the winter.
Michael Uhrmann: We are very satisfied with this second place result. I've been jumping in the national representation for many years now, but I can't remember the last time we got such a high rank. We had a shot at winning, but we're not disappointed. This is a really good start to the season.
Andreas Kofler: We are very happy with this victory. Personally, I'm very happy that I was able to jump for our team. We had a training camp last week in Lillehammer, which was when we all reached our optimal form. The whole team jumped well in today's competition. On the other hand, we also had some good luck today. The Germans' disadvantage was very small, but it's good that we had to try hard to win.
