World Cup Ski Jumping competitions in Harrachov scheduled for December 12-13th are cancelled due to lack of snow. With temperatures up to 10 degrees Celsius above 0 the organizers of the Czech event were forced to accept defeat. 'We are unable to prepare both the hill and the tracks for Nordic combined. There’s no snow and no chance for temperatures to decrease rapidly over these few days. We are truly devastated.'
However, FIS won't allow two events to fall off the schedule. Engelberg, therefore, will host one additional competition on December 18th. There's also additional event planned for the Nordic combiners in Ramsau.
